Richard W. Elliott, 72, of 1305 Lane Ave., died at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday in Lakeview Hospital at Danville, Ill. He was a retired farmer from the New Richmond area and a member of New Richmond United Methodist Church. Born Sept. 14, 1904, at Siddell, Ill., he was a son of Charles and Anna Woodard Elliott. He was married to Maxine Meece on Feb. 13, 1929, at LaSalle, Ill. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. John (Nadyne) Keeney of Rochester; two brothers, Donald of Fairmount, Ill., and Clifford of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Homer (Sylvia) Epperson of Newman, Ill., and Mrs. Robert (Velba) Gilpatrick of Danville, Ill.; and four grandchildren, Mrs. Terry (Debbie) Shelby, Mrs. Ray (Marsha) Clifton and Richard and Brian Keeney. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Louis E. Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. - jlr
